I wrote a little thing about this awesome class I attended a couple of weeks ago at the Miskatonic Institute of Horror Studies. It was all about black representation in horror films throughout the years and taught by the brilliant Dianca London Potts. I learned a lot and you can too by checking it out on vmagazine.com.
I've been researching movie theaters from the 1930s and '40s for a ghostwriting project and came across this nightmare meeting of Mickey Mouse Club fans. I like to think that the room was dead silent when the picture was taken, except for that little girl five rows back, stage right. She's like, "Fuck these creeps, I'm out of here."
